The Brandt Top Intellect washing machine was given the Janus Award for Industry 2016 by the prestigious French Design Institute.
The Janus design award, established by France in 1953, recognises the best achievements in terms of design and highlights collaborative approaches undertaken by businesses and designers that are intent on making life better.
It fosters creative thinking and turning investment in design into a competitive strength. The Brandt Top Intellect washing machine, produced at the Brandt plant in Sétif, was particularly appreciated by the jury of the Janus Award for Industry due to its technological advances, remarkable design, small footprint and quiet spin (less than 48 dB), as well as its 40% time saving, reduced water and detergent usage and its 7.5 kg capacity, the largest in the market for a top-loading washing machine.
This Top model also shone when it came to addressing consumer needs: dirt level, water hardness, special programmes (sports, jeans, shirts, baby clothes). The icing on the cake is its value for money, ranked among the most competitive on the market.
The French Design Institute will award its Janus 2016 prizes at a ceremony in late 2016.
